Freightbrain International Ltd was established in 1984 and we have slowly grown the business whilst retaining that personal touch that is often so missing in today’s business environment.
We have a long list of loyal and long-standing customers – some still with us from the very beginning. Many clients came to us totally new to importing or exporting without much knowledge in how to go about successfully shipping around the world. We have other customers who have found us, after becoming frustrated with their current freight-forwarder.
It is also pleasing that many of our customers come through personal recommendation. This proves to us that by being totally focused on doing what we do best, which is listening to our customers, protecting them and working with their interests at heart, brings results.
We treat all our customers as not just a number – not just “another shipment” – but as partners, and many whom we have to come to regard as friends. We are able to give much closer attention to importers and exporters, understanding what they require, doing the work of handling overseas shipping and progress-chasing supplying factories on behalf of customers via our well established network of overseas agents.

Experience
Our staff have together in excess of 150 years combined experience in the shipping and freight industry which we put to good use in securing the best possible outcomes for our clients. Many of our staff members have seen it from both sides of the desk, for example, as a shipping manager in some fairly large multi-national companies such as Courtaulds Textiles and Ford Motor Company but also as Forwarder and within the shipping liner environment.
We try to do things the right way; old fashioned values, mutual respect whilst delivering a good quality and competitive service.
International Freight Management
Our service differs from the large logistics companies and consolidators, we really offer a total solution for shippers. From the moment of initial contact, we will be looking after your interests first, ensuring that the supplying factories are contacted immediately via our network of agents. We will try to minimise delays – and if there are any, keep you fully advised. We will check paperwork and ensure it is compliant and ensure Bills of Lading are issued in a timely manner. If you are buying Ex-works or FOB we will consult with you to ensure the goods have marine insurance cover (if required) and we will continually track the shipment from the start of its journey until the point of delivery. Our customers have learnt that they can rely on us to manage and look after the shipping, the customs work and the onward delivery – this is what we do – with the minimum of fuss.
Overseas Agents
We have a network of overseas agents throughout the world in areas such as China and and the Far East, USA, Australia, Cyprus and Europe. we have worked with many of our agents for decades – we try to keep it this way. Other Forwarders will be continually changing agents for various reasons – this is not helpful for supply chains where suppliers are constantly having to contact a different agent each time. We do the opposite, keeping things consistent so that regular bookings get taken care of and supplying factories can just repeat booking arrangements from previous shipments.
